Creating a knowledgeable team of individuals with a unified vision will enrich the joint health and safety committee’s (JHSC) contribution at your workplace and assist in breaking down barriers between management and workers. A committee also needs to communicate its role within the workplace by using its mission statement as its “brand,” gathering input from workers, and promoting OHS initiatives.

This session is the perfect opportunity to gather your committee and review ways to improve its effectiveness, and set attainable goals.

Yvonne will provide an overview of the tools you can use to review the structure of your committee and assess legislative compliance. Methods to improve internal communication and gather feedback will be discussed to assist you in re-establishing the focus, culture and spirit of your committee at your workplace.
