Corporate law is constantly evolving, and this is reflected in the various corporate statutes across Canada. This webinar will take stock of recent major changes relating to corporate law in Canada.

SPEAKER

Marc Guénette was, for many years, one of the partners at a leading research firm in Corporate law in Québec. A specialist of the Québec Business Corporations Act, Mr. Guénette gives a number of conferences and webinars every year and has given hundreds of lectures over the years to thousands of people who, just like him, are passionate about Corporate law. He has written countless articles relating to Corporate law. He is also an author for Practical Law Canada and the author of the books: Les différentes formes d’entreprises au Canada and Questions et réponses en droit des sociétés au Québec.

ACCREDITATION

Lawyers must keep supporting documents confirming their participation in a training activity for a period of 7 years following the filing of the declaration of continuing education (art. 9, Règlement sur la formation continue obligatoire des avocats - Décision, (2019) 151 G.O. II, 783 [B-1, r. 12.1]).

The retention period for supporting documents is 5 years for notaries (art. 7, Règlement sur la formation continue obligatoire des notaires, chapitre N-3, r. 9.1).
